ECOSYSTEM Technologies Inc. (ESTI) President, Robert Y. So recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement together with the Rizal Provincial Governor, Hon. Casimiro M. Ynares and representatives from Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Land Reform – Region IV-A, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, Development Academy of the Philippines, Energy Management Association of the Philippines, Meralco Foundation Inc., and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry among others in a ceremony held on March 30, 2005, at Pasig City.
The representatives from government agencies and private organizations agreed to cooperate and help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Rizal by assisting in promoting competitiveness through improvement in quality and productivity, management and technical training as well as assistance in business linkages, equipment acquisition, packaging, possible funding and job creation.
ESTI being one of the leading water and wastewater specialist in the country had been given the following roles:
1) Provide Technical Solutions and Expertise in Water and Sanitation Engineering (waste water & sewage disposal; solid waste management i.e. sorting recyclables and landfills) to make the province, people and business environmental friendly
2) Supply the appropriate water and wastewater treatment technology based on the technical data’s available regarding the source and quality of influent and/or effluent water, needed by SMEs, communities and others in the province
3) Do process and engineering design (purification, filtration, delivery, distribution and storage system) if and when contracted.
4) Design, supply and install all the equipment necessary for the water and/or sanitation treatment system when contracted
5) Start up and commissioning of the water and/or sanitation treatment system that have been contracted to ECOSYSTEM
6) Conduct training to operators for the proper maintenance and operation of the water and/or sanitation treatment system established by ECOSYSTEM in the province.
7) Regularly monitor the performance of the water and/or sanitation treatment system in the province established by ECOSYSTEM in compliance to good manufacturing practices
Provide spare parts availability and after sales services at all times for the established treatment facilities by ECOSYSTEM
9) Provide whatever assistance within its expertise that may be needed by the province for the realization of its vision to improve the quality of products and services of Small and Medium Enterprises through better competitiveness in the local and international markets resulting in employment generation and finally, to improve the quality of life of its constituents.
The management of ECOSYSTEM Technologies Inc. took this matter as a way of being recognized for being one of the few companies who have high regards on the preservation of the environment. ECOSYSTEM have high hopes that this project will help them reach out to a lot more companies, be it small or big to educate them on proper water and wastewater related issues.
Also included in the said Memorandum of Agreement are NATIONAL AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER FOUNDATION, PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION OF LABOR MANAGEMENT COUNCILS, INC, PANASONIC MANUFACTURING PHILIPPINES CORPORATION, PHILIPPINE CHAMBER OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD, INC., PHILIPPINE EXPORTERS CONFEDERATION, INC., PHILIPPINE QUALITY AND PRODUCTIVITY MOVEMENT, and TECHNICAL EDUCATIONAL AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. The said agreement shall take effect upon execution and will last for a period of three years.
